FAQs

  • I work with individuals 16+ who reside in Washington State. My work is telehealth only at this time.

  • Individual session rates are $185 for 53 minutes.

I offer some reduced rate options, please reach out for more info.

  • I am in-network with Aetna.

For clients on other insurance plans, sessions are considered out-of-network (OON).

Some insurance plans offer OON reimbursement benefits for mental health services, which may reduce the overall cost of sessions. To make this process easier, I partner with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients and providers check eligibility and estimate reimbursement amounts.

You can visit Mentaya’s website to explore your potential OON benefits, or feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help.

  • I currently offer telehealth (virtual) sessions only.

Virtual therapy offers a convenient and accessible way to engage with services, but it may not be the right fit for everyone. Here are some key considerations to help you decide if it’s the best option for you:

    Pros of Virtual Sessions

Convenience: You can attend from the comfort of your home or any private location, saving time on travel.

Accessibility: It’s an excellent option for individuals who may have difficulty accessing in-person care.

Flexibility: Virtual sessions often provide more flexible scheduling options, which can fit better into busy lives.

Comfort: Being in your own space can help you feel more relaxed and open during sessions.

    Cons of Virtual Sessions

Technical Issues: A stable internet connection and reliable technology are required, and interruptions can be frustrating.

Privacy Concerns: You’ll need to ensure you have a quiet, private space for sessions where you won’t be overheard or interrupted.

Not Suitable for Crisis Situations: Virtual therapy is not the best fit for clients in crisis, as in-person care or specialized support could be necessary.

Potential for Distractions: Being at home or in another familiar environment can introduce distractions, making it harder to stay focused during sessions.

Virtual therapy sessions can be a flexible and effective option for many, but it’s important to consider your unique needs and preferences. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to discuss your concerns and help you determine the best fit for you.

  • The consultation call is a free 15-minute phone call where we briefly discuss what’s bringing you to therapy, what support you’re looking for, and whether we may be a good fit to work together.

I will call you at your scheduled appointment time, and you’re welcome to ask any questions you may have about therapy, my approach, or the process moving forward.

The consultation call is meant to be a brief introduction and is not a full therapy session. If we decide to move forward, the next step would be an intake session, which is a longer 53-minute session that allows for more depth, exploration, and understanding of your experiences, needs, and goals.

  • Your first session, or intake, is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and lay the foundation for our work together. During this session, we’ll review important details like confidentiality, ensuring you understand what is private in our sessions and the rare situations when I may be required to share information. We'll also review payment arrangements and any logistical details, such as scheduling and policies around cancellations or rescheduling.

I’ll introduce you to my note-taking process, explaining how I document our sessions to track progress and support your care.

Before our meeting, you’ll have provided some background information about your history and current concerns. During the intake, we’ll explore this in more detail to better understand your experiences, strengths, and areas where you’d like support.

Together, we’ll work to identify your goals for our work together, which will form the basis of a collaborative treatment plan. This plan serves as a guide for our sessions, ensuring that we’re aligned in working toward outcomes that feel meaningful to you.
